RLB Neuropsychological Services is the private practice in clinical neuropsychology of Dr. Ricki Ladowsky-Brooks and Associates.

Our Mission

  • To facilitate the rehabilitation process after brain injury by providing:

    • Cognitive Rehabilitation
  • To translate new developments in the neurosciences into practical approaches for the assessment and treatment of problems resulting from traumatic brain injury and other brain disorders.
  • To share new developments in the brain-behavior sciences with private and public organizations through educational sessions and publications.

About Dr. Ricki Ladowsky-Brooks

Dr. Ladowsky-Brooks received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto in 1982 and a Ph.D. in Clinical Neuropsychology from the University of Western Ontario in 1987.  She is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, and has previously conducted neuropsychological assessments in the Toronto area at St. Michael’s Hospital, West Park Hospital, Mount Sinai Hospital, and the Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care.  She was also employed at the Worker’s Compensation Board (now WSIB), where she conducted assessments in the Head Injury and Neurology Program and directed the Cognitive Rehabilitation Program.  Additionally, she taught a neuroscience course at York University, and has publications in the areas of cognitive rehabilitation, learning, and recovery of brain functions after injury.  Current research interests are the relationship of memory variables to the formation and maintenance of beliefs, as well as the development of effective methods of cognitive rehabilitation.
