An article entitled “Restorative Techniques in Cognitive Rehabilitation – Program Design and Clinical Benefits” was written by Dr. Ladowsky-Brooks in 1996 and was originally published in ie. Magazine (Ontario Brain Injury Association: volume 3, issue 3) before cognitive rehabilitation became widely utilized as a method to treat cognitive problems. It was reprinted in 2011 by the Ontario Brain Injury Association and is now permanently located on their website.
Dr. Ladowsky-Brooks’ article focuses on program design in cognitive rehabilitation. It is recommended reading for clinicians offering a cognitive rehabilitation program as part of their practice and by clients who may be participating in such programs. The article offers guidelines that should be followed whenever cognitive rehabilitation is offered as a clinical service.
